GOMORRAH

I was driving to Gomorrah on a highway without light
And the cars I met were left at the roadside
I drove up through the mountains and the tunnels they had dug
With hands that broke a nail for every mile 
And I came to the black desert and the fence and hidden mines
And nowhere was a living human being
Saw shadows with machine guns and synthetic human drones
A sermon for themselves, each one a king 

And Gomorrah was all quiet
Just the echo of a gun
Ringing out into a night in hell
And I prayed for God to light up
All the evil they had done
That finally all, all is well

I was driving through Gomorrah on a road without a name
With stroboscopic light from every nightclub
The drones that were off duty oh they drank corrosive drinks
Sold their lovers to the thirsty mob
And beyond the bars and brothel was a concentration camp
Barracks built of concrete and of steel
And I knew this was my mission there were people still alive
That knew and could explain this pain I feel 

And Gomorrah was all quiet

And I had to leave my car alone and walk across a field
And cut my way through shadows to a beast
Who overlooked the barracks from a hill of sulfur rocks
Empty eyes lost beyond the east
I hit him with my shotgun and I put it to his head
I heard a faint whisper from his teeth
"Oh finally you caught me, I've been running long enough
I'm sick of pain so bring me my relief"
